Exploration of Beetroot

Beetroot （红甜菜根）
在欧洲是历史相当悠久也很普遍的青菜，
罗马人相信beetroot美丽的桃红色

具有催化爱情的力量，
传说只要男女共享一颗beetroot，
就会因此坠入爱河。
近来科学也证实食用beetroot
与食用巧克力皆具有一样的功效，
两者都会让大脑产生恋爱般的快乐幸福感呢！
不过，比起巧克力，beetroot 的热量低很多，
营养价值也高很多。唯一要注意的是，
因为beetroot包含天然红色素，
多吃了牌焊和尿液会变成粉红色哦！

the Romans knew about love!
the Romans considered beetroot an aphrodisiac
the belief persists to this day that
if a man and a woman eat from the same beetroot,
they will fall in love (with each other, presumably)
Beetroot contains betaine,
a substance that relaxes the mind
and is used to treat depression
it also contains trytophan (also found in chocolate!)
which contributes to a sense of well being

after eating beetroot, there are pink side effects!
keep calm~ don’t be alarmed

it's the red pigment in beetroot
which passes harmlessly through the digestive system

it's around the size of a tennis ball
after some research
i decided to make it this way:
clean it n boil it for an hourarticle adviced not to skin them before cooked
otherwise it will be messy
eventhough i did not skin them
the water also turn so red liao

the cooked beetroot turn to be very beautiful
i was quite nervous when it came to the cutting part
was so afraid it will stain every where
thank goodness
everything was in control

it tasted like erm...
smell a bit like carrot
texture like dragon fruit
taste sweeter than sweet pea!
