Guilt-Free Pork Rib

this pork rib suppose to use for Lotus Root Soup
but ppl complain it stinks...
when i used the other half last time
so i cook it for my home-alone dinner lor

.
this is Ah Yan's own recipe:
* poke the meat with lotsa holes
* marinate pork rib with sugar, pepper
chopped garlic + ginger & Worcestershire Sauce
* stand for the longer the better
throw inside oven at 200'c for 30-40 minutes
serve it bare! mmmmm... so tender~ so juicy~~ so aromatic~~~
this is something new i found

3 Nov 2009 の 三菜一汤

i made dinner again
it has been ages
since i last cook a proper meal
.
this dinner
was to clear off the ingredients from the fridge
.
Brussels Sprout from my future lai-lai
did some study before cooked it
in chinese it's called 抱子甘蓝 o_O"

*boiled it (added salt & oil in water) for few mins
*chop some garlic
*fry them with butter
*add in the boiled sprout n sauté for a while

Bold 西红柿炒蛋
Stir-Fried Tomato Omelette in Tomato Sauce
过水油麦 Boiled Romaine Lettuce
西洋菜排骨汤 Watercress Pork Rib Soup
我想说话:
这顿饭
让我想起一些我不愿意想起的事
和一些我不想记得的人

从来没有煮过西洋菜
是因为在我最黑暗的日子
这道汤不断地不断地
出现在我最垂丧的晚餐里

这次煮
也是因为人家硬硬把一把菜
进我的购物篮里
然后它就这样进入我的冰箱
住了一天两天三天
开始发黄了
才硬着头皮煮了这锅汤

Blueberry Cupcakes

原来心情低落的时候
做蛋糕才会成功的…………

'boh gam guan' with my last failure
i challenged this Blueberry Cupcake!
by changing the 'kena cheated' ingredients & recipe
with my own intuition


this time it succeed gracefully~
no more charcoal at the bottom loo...

this little cupcake is full of surprises
*some says it looks like illness with those purplish polka dots
*some enjoy the sourish surprises among the sweetness

good thing must share~

Birthday Delivery

decided to give the birthday gal a surprise breakie
so i woke up at 6am to prepare these
breakies for 3 ready in less than an hoursince she likes 1901
so i made her my latest product =)

Diwali Kiwi Muffin

only skipped a few weeks of practising
my baking skill back to 0 again~
this baking session was a disaster
first... i
straight away beat the butter with the liquid
forgot to either melt/ beat it fluffy FIRST
~~><~~~
BIG BIG MISTAKE!!!!
.
first attempt: beat it until it melt failed
2nd attempt
: remove all the butter to melt it seperately failed
3rd attempt: put everything into oven/ microwave to melt the butter
(bad thought: the butter will melt but the egg might cooked)
lucky it worked *phew*
secondly... i put the batter less than 80% full
but they overflow =___="
thirdly... they look okay from the outside
but the bottom were all screwed
~~><~~
wanted to decotate them for Deepavali since its green
ended up totally no mood liao!!!

still... ended up i did dress them up ler~

Double-licious Toastie Breakie

read the recipe before i slept
but couldn't remember the steps n ingredients correctly
so i simply hantam my way in the morning
.
lightly cut a 田 in the middle of the bread
carefully remove one by one
spread some margerine
n sprinkle some cinnamon powder
i 'accidentally' added brown sugar
because i kept thinking of cinnamon sugar pretzer :P
cover back the bread
bake till it's brownish
run to the freezer
get a scoop of vanilla ice cream (or other flavour)
topped with some honey
a waffle-ed concept toast is done~
every mouthful brings different surprises to ur taste bud
it's awfully superb!!!
can u feel LOVE is in the air?
I DO!!!!!!

Kaya Butter Toast

guess this is pretty simple~
since the toast is thick
give em' a few slices in the middle
so that all the yummies can flow down
to every single bite later on
send to toaster oven for a little while~
apply ur fav spread
n sink ur teeth into it!
nyumph!
another slice of comfort~

Sunny SIde Up ...with LoVe

a lil' comfort needed day
a lil' uneasy
a lil' insecured
a lil' disappointed
a lil' lousy

this is always my comfort food
with jz simple ingredients n easy preparation
i prefer to use thick toast (available in BreadTalk)
*use knife to gently cut a square in the middle
*press the bread inside of the square
to form a firm base
*add a slice of cheese in the hollow (optional)
*season with some salt + oregano + parsley
*crack an egg on top
*send to oven to bake until egg is set to ur liking
(watch out not to burn the toast ya)
*sprinkle some black pepper before serve!
i simply did another version with my new gadget
by using all the same method at the begining
sprinkle some water to the toast
make sure the yolk is poked
carefully put it into a microwave safe container
(or in a deep plate cover with cling firm)
cook till egg is set to ur likingwith this method the toast won't get burnt
but i personally still like the risky toasted version ^^
