Okonomiyaki 御好燒

御好燒又稱為什錦燒
is a Japanese savoury pancake
containing a variety of ingredients
The name is derived from the word okonomi
meaning "what you like" or "what you want"
and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked"
.
The batter is made of flour, grated yam,
water or dashi, eggs and shredded cabbage,
and usually contains other ingredients such as
green onion, meat (generally pork or bacon),
octopus, shrimp, vegetables, mochi or cheese
.

i managed to make my own version
the ingredients are so down to earth^^
chopped cabbage, wheat flour+water, egg
n watever-u-like-to-add~

mix em' all togetheradd some seasoning eg: sugar & salt
(if not using dashi/ 高汤)

fry on both side until golden brown
add a layer of sauce (i used sweet sauce) & mayosprinkle some aonori (青海苔) & katsuobushi (柴魚
)
since i dun hav both
i sub with Shichimi Togarashi (七味粉) & Fried Shallot
itadakimasu!

I like this very much, always order this when I go Japanese restaurant, will try to make my own when free :)

i always order half of this size also need RM8 liao~ didn't know it's so easy to make =P

planning to put cheesy sausage & katsuobushi (柴魚) next round~ slurpz!
